"O shining shield, be thy fortress of defence, repelling mine enemies!"

You call forth a mystic, ethereal shield, which floats near you and grants protection to your allies in the area it is facing.

The shield has the emblem of your holy symbol emblazoned on it, and its colour is representative of the principles or deity that you follow, exerting its power in a 6m Cone. The shield follows you, but exerts its power in the same direction which you choose when you cast this spell. At the start of each of your turns, you can choose which way the shield (and thus the Cone) faces. You are excluded from the area that the Cone affects.

All allied creatures within the Cone gain

while they remain inside it. Furthermore, whenever an allied creature within the Cone would take damage, you can use your reaction to cause all allied creatures within the Cone to take half damage from all sources until the end of the turn.

Also, for the duration of the spell, any BLUNT, PIERCE, and SLASH damage that you take from weapon attacks is reduced by 3.
